Twelve years ago, I wrote about Orlando "Maraca" Valle, as the great white hope of the Cuban flute. Today, he is the best example, and live in the Great Theater of Havana is the album he was born to do.

 Maraca is a man in many ways. You can play the notes perfectly round, like his mentor, Richard Egues, or you can set your buzz and aflutter flute riffs to your heart's content. At all times, is certainly Maraca.  Nad Chediak
